Where has the time gone?

Well, after moving into a new place this summer I’m hoping to get back into the restoration process.  A big accomplishment will be cleaning out the garage and filling it with car parts and the skeleton of my Camaro. Spring time is a good time to start again, right? Hunting season is over and most of our big house projects should be completed or at least manageable. Great progress and posts to come!

Sorry for the late updates but progress has been slow lately.  The front nose piece was in rough shape and full of old mud plus it needed a few holes welded up.  Hopefully I will have to time to start knocking out parts quickly.

More to come soon…

I went to a classic car auction in early May that had some nice rides. Thought I would share them…

Well after a busy couple of months, the project has started up again. There’s been a lot of nice muscle cars hitting the roads lately but at the same time it’s only 45 degrees today and I see the snow line considerably dropped on the mountains. I’m sure by July it should warm back up and the rocks will be cleaned off the roads.

The other night took all the painting & sanding materials, and a couple body parts, over to Kelan’s. I’m so excited to get this project moving forward! Anyway, no pictures, just an update.

That last bit of my House of Kolor paint order showed up from Coast Airbrush, the pearls were on backorder.

This past week I made a big order from Classic Industries while they were having a Saint Patrick’s Day special! I figured I needed to get a weatherstrip kit, painter’s gasket/seal kit, a grill to replace my broken one and kits to fix my door hinges.

Here’s what was included in the order:

67-68 CAMARO RUBBER STOPPER KIT – K88065
68 CONVERTIBLE W/STRIP KIT W/WIDE MOLDING – R5117
68 CAMARO STD PAINT SEAL SET – K926
67-69 HOOD-TO-COWL SEAL – 3927464
68 CAMARO STD CENTER GRILL – 3914772
67-68 CAMARO GRILL FASTENER SET – K559
HOOD LOUVER GASKET MAT’L – 3949698
68-69 LOWER DOOR HINGE REPAIR SET – K554
68-79 DOOR HINGE REPAIR SET – K401
REPLACEMENT HOOD HINGE SHOCKS 260 LBS – CB16

After pricing the paint out at the local paint store Kelan and I decided to go with House of Kolor and mix our own blend. Kelan is very confident that we can achieve the exact result we’re looking for. So, the paint supplies are now all accounted for, except the red and blue pearls which were on back order at Coast Airbrush.
